Curious, you guys suffering fly and bug invasion? I was out last night and I could not stay, every flying insect imaginable swarmed my cuddy, never saw that before.

By the sounds of it, fishing around Henderson and Sackets Harbor was a bust, not good. Either that, or someone found the fish and they're not talking.

If the water is up near the 70's there're back out in the shipping lanes, although the ones I did see were quite dark already, Hmmm?

Check 60 to 80' straight out from the cut with riggers and clean spoons run within 3' of bottom at 2mph, that's what worked for me last year this time

They are there but tight to the bottom and you pretty much got to smack em in the face. Expect a disappointing fight though

With the colder nights and days I'd bet the water will start to cool off and the bite will get better, a little wind goes a long ways

It's the bad blows we have had, tons of fish and bite will get better by the day as long as wind doesn't stir stuff up. We did ok this morning at 130', now just fired in 140. Big white took 3 fires, speed was slow, 1.7 one way 2.0 the other.

How's temp out at 140? Last year around this time 140ft was the only place I could find decent temp and once I found it I limited out in an hour with Todd from NY

I was thinking 140ish FOW might be the ticket too, until temps start to stabilize and be more normal. It's anyone's guess lately. That was some great fishing last year Matt!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but no wonder I can't catch a fish  "recap" the first one I can agree with 128 fow.-124 down that's 4ft above the bottom. There's now132fow-down 141?? And the 2 96 fow down 119 with a paddle.LOL...

Only thing I can think of is he's telling us what he had his riggers set at? But lots of variables to that to figure a depth...
