Canvas Snaps

Hi Gang,

     This is sort of a dumb question but my snaps on my canvas are so hard to separate that it's breaking the snaps.  Is there a solution to this?

I use chapstick on the snaps. Seems to help.

I use a q tip dabbed in a Teflon lube like Triflow, wipe the inside of the cup and around the post. No mess and it holds up for a long time.

Thanks to both of you for responding.  Based on your answers,  I actually had some boat wax and dabbed that on the snaps and that totally did the trick.

 

Too bad I didn't do this earlier but many thanks!
