Olcott Reports?

Experience some of the best fishing of my life the last few weeks out of Olcott.  Hoping to make one trip back up.

 

Pretty limited reports the last week or so.   Will plan on fishing tight, same FF combos as last few weeks.  As it gets later in the year, anything I should change up?  Different lures, faster slower presentation?

 

Any tips would be helpful.

We just got in fished 10 to 2. Two mature kings 80 ft. Spinner and fly.

If I catch a few it'll be well worth it.  Staying at the Sinker again I imagine.  See y'all up there!

Fished Wednesday 4 matures from4:30-7:30pm. 80FOW flasher/fly and jplugs. Lots of fish from 80-100fow straight out front. Even saw fish proposing on surface.

Heading out to Olcott now Saturday Sept 9. There's a reason the charter boats quit on labor day. I don't think the fishing is that good in fall. Staging Kings don't seem to cooperate, but we have to try.

Too rough. Had to go back home. So much for the predicted 1 to 3 footers. 30 foot board were sitting in the harbor waiting for it to calm down. My 22 footer would have been rocking too much to enjoy.

Slow in tight, moved a few rods.  Only one mature fish.  Back at it in the morning.  Tight lines fellas

I fished offshore Tues did very well 2 Matures and bunch of decent size steelhead ...fished inside for 2 hrs tonight picked up a 2yr old off the bottom and called it ...going out Monday I'll probably hit the 24-26 ln

I want matures. I plan on running meat on a rigger and a diver. Cheated rigger with spoons. Spoon and j plug on 2 lead cores. And 2 ff on divers to start. Atleast thats how they are rigged now. Hopefully that does the trick. I got all the goodies. I wouldnt care comeing up empty handed if i thought i had another shot at it.

When you say meat, what kind of meat fish do you use,elyive, hearing.
