They are very well made. Mine came with extremely long lines so I trimmed the lines a bit and melted the ends with a grill lighter. I taped the ends before I cut them because they will unravel in a hurry if you don't.

That's what I heard. ( they'll last 10 years or better )

I've seen a few brands but the Amish bags looked like the better made bags. I tied a loop in one end so I can hook it through my middle side cleats and it puts them at the right length every time.

i'm a kicker fan also. i like the peace of mind in having a backup motor, plus you'll save gas and wear and tear and hours on the big motor. if it were me, i'd get the 15hp suzuki efi with full remote controls (non-tiller model) and an itroll for fine speed control. i would estimate it would push your rig at about 6 mph at full throttle. enough to get you back to the dock in an emergency.

The new boat trolls great with 2 - 28" Amish bags. Now if I could get the fish to corporate I'd be in business. Only 5 walleye in 2 half days so far. Thanks for the input.
I think next year it will have a kicker on it. I like the piece of mind that comes with a kicker. I usually fish 6 to 30 miles from port. I like having a backup.
