I ran it last year. For about 3 weeks the fleas were horrendous and the braid was almost unusable. Before and after that period though I was pleased with it.

What is the supposed benifit?
The charter I went on with Jim this was one thing I asked him about. There is no hum with braid. Also easier to terminate. There was a few other points he made that hopefully I remember and can post but those were 2 that stuck out to me

Aaron and Scott - It might be a good way to experiment by trying one downrigger with the braid and leave the other(s) with wire because when the fleas are real thick wire can accrue fleas pretty bad too. They may be a bit easier to get off the stiffer wire but the other advantages of the braid may offset this (I am a wire guy by the way:lol:)

PAUL, did you notice a difference in the bite ratio  with the braid and wire do to eliiminating the hum in the cable

Honestly no. But this year wasn't a great year to experiment. From May in Wilson to June-September at the Oak the king fishing was insane. They bit everything!!!
