Just a thought - I've heard thast the Gobies are quite bottom oriented when feeding. . Would it help to locate the bait suspended higher up on the line as perch respond quite well to suspended bait? Just thinking out loud.....

Hey JohnnyWalleye If your getting Gobies and not perch move around and find the perch without the Gobies. Try in 30fow. Good luck.

tried for the perch yet again.i had gobies come up 12in off bottom ..couldnt find many slbs kept 10 over 10in..lots of dinks even in 28fow..very odd..my fav technique is vertical in 12fow in the weeds..the gobies wont allow it..and so long 4 now

The perch are hitting minnows. My son lives on the lake and switched from plastic to minnows and is getting nice catches of large perch. Set up a dropshot rig with the hooks20-30" over the sinker. Good luck.
