Good read! I could not imagine a 80lb king on a 400 copper everyone in the boat would have a sore arms! In six years the biggest over the rail 24.5lbs and that was a on 7 color. Still remember the early 90’s when you get a 30+ at least ever other season

I remember those days, on the Perch River we had property and a mobile home for a permanent house. The kings were so thick at the mouth where it came out of the ground. During the snagging season when you made a cast the stinger hooks laid on their backs you had to pull you line a little for the weighted hook to slide off the fish and into the water!!! It was freaking crazy!!!  :rock:

Great read enjoyed a trip to Alaska last summer got a15 lb Kenai river salmon my brother got one about 50 lbs both fish where released
