Tube size doesnt let in more light.. a larger objective lens does.. larger tube size gives you more elevation adjustment

The only real hunting situation advantage is greater height adjustment useing the 30mm. If you are going to dial extreme range useing your turret look at a 30. If you are useing a scope with yardage stadia not at all necessary. There are quality scopes of both diameters.
