Patience, Persistence, and a lot of LUCK!

I got lucky and took my biggest buck to date yesterday. A nice Northern Zone 9 point. I am extremely pleased. I had passed on a bunch of small bucks this season and was starting to wonder if I should just take one. Then with the perfect conditions yesterday I ducked out of work early. I was in my blind by 3:00 and this guy came in cruising at 3:30.

 

It worked out perfect because my son got off the bus shortly after that and gave me a hand getting the deer out.

I remember running off the bus to see if my uncle got a buck every day after school.  Must have been a great hunt on many levels...sure is a dandy!
