Streams-The Sodus area has about a foot of snow so fishing Maxwell Creek will be a chore. It’s not completely frozen, however being a smaller stream, it will have limited fishing.

 

The steelhead are in both sides of Lake Road and are hitting egg sacs and beads.

 

Fishing the piers last week was neat, but that location is now off-limits. Thirty mile an hour wind has coated the pier with ice.

 

Bays- We are in transition, now hoping for ice. Currently, the wind is howling, and the open water is too dangerous for any boats. All we can do is wait.

 

If we get ice and the wind subsides, we will probably have the most exciting ice fishing season in years. The perch are in all bays and waiting.

 

DEC pulled the docks this week so use caution when launching from the ramps.

Erie Canal- No fishing on the canal. We will just have to wait…
