Thanks !! Made it out to Oneida today, man was it pouring out. Good action in the morning then slowed down when the temps fell. Ended up with a limit of eyes and 6 perch and a dozen shorts. 3 to 5 in of water on top if the ice with slush spots. Not a good day to stay dry !!

6 to 7 in of ice . Lots of sleds out yesterday ! Didn't know they like water like jet skis do . So much water yesterday my shanty floated

Looks like everyone is finally getting out on the ice! Got out for perch and caught lots but mostly dinks, kept about 20 nice eaters!

Hey guys, so I got around a dozen keeper perch Tuesday evening. I put them in the fridge whole, and didn’t have a chance to fillet them until today. Do you guys think they will still be ok to eat?

Take it from me. Having spent much of my younger adult life working in many different aspects of the food business, and having been catching, cleaning and cooking perch and other fish since childhood....they will be fine for eating. Enjoy!

Agreed. Its when they are kept in a cooler in ice water and get slimy they turn quickly. In the fridge they will be fine for several days. Enjoy.

Couple more pics from today's fishing trip. The drag off was the worst I ever experienced. 2 hours to get off the ice. Fishing was hot !!!

Chaumont is getting clobbered. Heard the plow trucks were taken off the roads till morning because vis is so poor.... white out conditions.

Hit up sodus bay today , wish I got out there earlier but took home enough for a meal. Had to look at the size of your marks and keep away from the smaller ones if possible. Weather was mint 63 and sunny [emoji41] !!! Ice was thick , top inch and a half was soft. Ended with 24 total . 9 1/2 to 11 3/4.
