When measuring the length of your flie leaders, do you go from the back of the hook to the paddle, or to the end of the swivels?

We always measure from the tip of the fly head to the top of the loop and we prefer 23". I was taught that by the Fish Doctor Ernie Lantiegne himself a long time ago.

Don't be afraid of running them longer. I have flies tied up to 32". Some days they took more fish on the longer leads.
