X2 my wife usually does most of the driving when we are fishing, Im sure that she will get tired of driving all the time sooner or later.

also what should I expect to pay for a unit like this installed?

I do run the Lowrance hydraulic and the steer cable use the same software and the motor that Lowrance use on the wheel is I'm pretty sure from Octopus and they are very well known and they also got an excellent reputation.

I am looking at adding this unit to my Mako 21'CC.

There is a new in box unit at a great deal here.

I don't have an HDS unit but was looking to upgrade my present Graph/GPS to a Hook2/7 but am considering an HDS-7 Gen 3 and the cable steer system.

I would like to hear from anyone who uses this setup as well.

Thanks.

Picked up a cable steer unit at Cabala's in Ottawa for $499.

Smoking deal.

Just have to figure out which HDS-7 unit I want to buy now.

I don’t know if they have tilts. I just happened to find the steer system one day while I was killing time.

No. It was on a clearance shelf.
Original price was on it. $2999 Canadian.

Unit I got was the last one. I don’t imagine they will be getting any more when they have to drop the price to get rid of it.

Worked for me. West marine has both systems. Hydraulic for around $1000 and cable for around $1299

Do they have a tilt wheel option?

They don't offer a tilt unit, you will have to forgo that if you want to use this system.
