Does anyone have any comments on good places to fish for walleyes if you are based in the Salmon River? I know the Oswego area is good as well as Henderson Harbor, so you would think there might be good places in between. Any comments?

every once in a while someone gets one at random .Couple of us guys were talking running a harness or chatterstix while salmon fishing or just run a complete wally program for a few hours. They gotta hang some where and if you dont give it a good try on ocasion well never know.

Back in the 90's there was a walleye population out of the Little Salmon,Mexico Point. If you go to the Eastern Lake Ontario Salmon and trout Ass. web sight and ask, some of the loc.Capts. Members could help you out. You could go out and run a walleye pattern and see that happens But I think it was a spring early summer fishery. Like Gambler said you could try Oneida,I had a banner year there and the Jack perch are biting but you have find then. Good luck.

Off of Henderson Harbor, Galoo & Calf Island, Black River Bay, & Bull Rock Point. These are all North of you by 10 or 15 niles.

Hi, someone mentioned Oneida ... save the gas for now - water temps are up, weeds and bait fish are thick. I think we need a few more weeks and some water temp drop before the fall bite starts :D ..

yea went out sunday with boards and trolling setups only. had a release every 3 minutes because of the weeds, after about an hour I decided I would have better luck at the waterfront tavern.
