Brown trout olcott

Fished this am out of olcott from 8-1 caught three browns ranging from 3-8lbs. All were caught in front of the pier heads, nothing caught anywhere else east or west of the harbor.

congrats on getting out.  looks like that brown never spawned.  Pretty colors on it.

A lot of times they still look like this one if they just came out of the tribs in the spring.  Once they spend some time in the lake, they get more silvery.

The launch in olcott is almost always open. I think it was locked up for about 3 weeks total this winter. Only ice fished it once

What kind of rod holder mount is that in your tracks?

Those are the tite-lok rod holders. I had those before i switched to the berts ratcheting rod holders. They are adjustable and strong. Just dont ratchet so takes a bit  to adjust them but good for the money.

Thank you.  I was wondering what the Tite Loks were mounted to.  The plate that is mounted to your boats track, who makes it?

Brocraft marine. They aren’t cheap but they are the only thing I trust since I’ve had the plastic lund track ones snap when a big king hits. Also have broken those tite lok rod holders, the star washer underneath which locks it into position lost all the numbs on it and almost lost two rods because of them.
