Lake Erie is having a super walleye fishing experience this year, so stay home and all the walleye you need are here for a cost a lot better.

Bob Rustowicz of Cheektowaga shows off a 14.67-pound walleye he caught off Hamburg on Lake Erie last week. He was using a gold Swedish pimple. It took over first place in the Capt. Bob's Outdoors contest and is third place in the NYS Winter Classic competition. Yes, third.

I haven't flown into Northern Quebec in a few years, but if you're willing to go into Sunset Country in Ontario, Lac Seul is amazing for walleye and it's a remote wilderness, but at 4 hours North of International Falls, MN, you can drive there which cuts down the cost of a flight...if you're willing to drive 20 hours. You'll end up driving 10-12 to get to where you'd fly in from if you head straight North anyway.

There's a group of guys on here who hit up Lac Seul on a regular basis. Search past posts. Silver Water Wheel is the cat's meow with full service guides and great boats, but pricey. However, they have an outpost camp that could suit. There's something special about cabins and 14' Lunds in the middle of nowhere...

Get ahold of Wallyandre on here, he is a Canadian citizen and very well in the know of the best outpost camps up there!! He will give all the info you will need to have the best Canadian outpost fishing trip experience!! There’s nothing like it in my book. Yes it’s a little more $$$ but there’s nothing in the states that compare to it.
