Fished out of Sheldrake in the afternoon till dark. We didn't catch a thing until about 7:00pm. Picked up a 6 pound lake trout 50-60 feet down in about 90 feet of water.

Don't mind the resolution, it's from a phone camera.

Nice fish & welcome to the site. Lookin forward to more of your reports. How about some specifics such as what you caught it on etc. Always great to hear any new techniques. Thanks

yea forgot the details...used a ten color lead core, put it all in the water. I tried everything from stick baits to spoons and even a triple swivel and double baited it. But I finally got that one on a dodger with a green fly.

We've been hitting Cayuga afternoons till dark. The quality has been good, the numbers were down. We'boated several fish and I agree deep water with green flys or spoons behind a silver dodger worked the best. We did boat one bow about 5 1/2 lbs and lost one larger. The browns were running between 4 to 7 lbs.

The bite was fast and short 1 hour before dark.
