I remember reading that the McCoy fishing line didn't collect fleas. For this reason I was thinking of switching to McCoy. What are some thoughts and experiences about McCoy fishing line. Thanks in advance!

I ran the 25lb test last year and had very good success with it keeping the fleas off. This was during days where your wire dipsey would come back with a foot of them after being out for only 30 minutes. Jax is one of my witnesses to that. I think they have a new website that you can order off of. The least you can do is buy a mini bulk spool and try it on one or two rods. Good luck and if you have any questions give me a hollar!

Thanks Yankee. I like the idea of not having to pick fleas off my line every 30 minutes. I'm going to give the line a try!

Yankee Troller , I thought you said you may try some lighter # test on the McCoy fishing line. Just wondering if you did and how you made out.

I had 15 on three rigger rods and 25 on another 3 rigger rods. Since I ran Spinnies most of the season I used the 25lb test. I honestly cant say whether the 15 was better, but I dont remember it being a problem at all. I will remember to try this year though.

I do have to say I was impressed with the McCoy. I am going to spool up a couple of my reels this year for sure.
