Ran out of Port bay this past Friday as part of a three boat trip. I was asked to work the back of L&M's boat (Hank), seeing how the port bay boys needed a heavy hitter from the city :lol:8) .

We all started west of the bay in 70-100' a few miles east of chimmeny bluffs. Hit 2 kings as we set rods. After a slow spell we got into a small flurry on a mix of fish them lockjaw again!!! All in all we had a slow day. 4 in the boat a 3 dropped fish. Between the 3 boats a total of 7 fish boated and about as many more dropped. Very tough bite for all of us last friday. All bites where riggers or wires - no leadcores or copper bites.

Nk mag wonderbread, white spinny/white fly, and trash can dodger/hammer flies took the hits.

Out of Port bay again this Friday on my boat -hopefully things pick up.

Hey steve , Using the wire or copper do you use divers with them or just run them without divers???, also is the wire line tough to use tangles knots etc???

Don't be pickin on the boy Bruce. I had to show him a thing or two. But he kn's his s**t, good fisherman & good with customers. Now if I could talk him into leaving the darn lead core at home we'd be all set. ;)

e carter- with wire we use dipsy divers. the copper we just send out so many feet to reach a certain depth like leadcore. email me directly at [email protected] and i will explain wire/divers better.
