Cayuga N of Meyers

Fished from 2pm to 5pm north of Meyers today. Slightly windy. Got two lakers, both about 26". Got them at 85 ft with purple spoon. Flasher and fly did nothing. Also caught a broken off ski rope on the bottom.

Hi 58Johnson,

I'm surprised to hear the fly/flasher didn't work for you. Its been the total opposite for me, spoons ignored entirely and flashers and flies the only game in town. White/glow, green/gold, and black/purple have all been hot for me. What speeds were you trolling? 2.2-2.6 has been serving me well.

I have had the same results as you, everything on flies/flasher for around a month now. This is the first success I have had with spoons in a while. I don't have gps for speed. I just know that the flasher/fly works better at a slightly higher speed than the spoons.

Another thing is that I get the biggest fish on spoons.
