Leadcore off of big board rod choice

Looking to add some lead core rods to the spread , any advice on a good semi-cheap rod for running lead core off the big boards

I've been using the Okuma 8 1/2 ft GLT's. They are relatively cheap ad hold up pretty well. As far as reels, I have several of the older Daiwa 47H's I use for my lead cores.

I'm sure there are many others out there to choose from, but these work for me.

Every rod on my boat is a Okuma Classic Pro GLT.  Dipsy rods, down rigger rods, lead core rods, etc.  You just cant beat them for the price.

Also like the triangular grip on the handle. Helps square off against the big kings.

Any light to medium weight rod will work. I use my ugly stick light action 8 ft 3 inch downrigger rods and they work well.  It’s all personal preference.  I have 2 of the Okuma LC/Copper rods too and they are too heavy for my taste.
