the guy i bought the motor off of took the carbuator apart and busted off the arm that holds the pin that the float moves on and this is located in the top portion of the carbuator and you can't just buy that peice

that stinks,..... take a look here..its the part item 4 goes through?

it may be worth it just to get new carb...i guess between 300- 400 bucks

You might want to check with your local welder.... I had a bike carb done a few years ago that broke off one of the ears where the pin for the float goes.... Worth a try!
