Mine rusted out on the bottom, good luck the scrap iron guys got all of those, finally I bumped in to a demo guy who runs demolition derby’s and I got one off a old 283 motor that had the right height where the carb sits on, what’s wrong with yours??

 Vortec is a different manifold all the way around Pap

Hank has forgot about more boat stuff than I could ever learn in a lifetime.  Ya old pirate

I know the boat.  87 was a transition year so to speak. If the engine now has a full circle rear main seal you should be ok. If not the flywheel will be different

Thanks for the info, I guess if your not in the game like you are they are changing stuff all the time!! Best of luck to you guys, I’ll keep my vintage year stuff. :lol: Back to the original part of this post
