anyone here planning a keys trip next spring were looking at the 2nd 3 rd week of march during the tarpon run .it would be fun to hook up with some homies.

Headed to Venice FL on April 1st - the 8th. My mother is a snowbird so I end up there every year. I was there last year at the end of March and did some bottom fishing 55 miles out in the gulf. What a great time. We caught a mixed bag of fish including Gag and Red Grouper, Red Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Lane Snapper and Yellowtail Snapper, Sharks including a 7' blacktip, Remoras, Bonita, Amberjacks (had our limit in 5 minutes), King fish and even a Wahoo. This was the best fishing trip I have ever been on and it was only $200. Even the girlfriend was into them good.

Ray - I go to the keys a lot. Guess you can say I'm "hooked". In the kitchen. One hook for the car, one hook for the boat, one hook for the house.....(all singles - no trebles)
