First trip of the year this past weekend as we have put the boat in. Water is mighty cold(go figure). Not fast paced action for our first weekend fishing but fun and good weather to say the least.

Saturday, was our shakedown for the season, got out just 2 of us and target silvers, no go, did manage some fish.

All Lakers. Small stinger spoons and gambler rigs. A couple copper bites too. A fun fight was our first fish of the season. A very large healthy lake trout. Returned to catch another day. Check him out.

Sunday, first tournament for the FLX trollers club. We caught numerous fish working the same waters. No silvers again but lake trout prevailed. Managed a nice box full plus some releases. Ended up 2 shy of the full box without some silvers, but did pull a 3rd place win. Tough conditions for guys. 19 boats and I think maybe half had catches. It should get better with warming temps.

60 fow and you can see bottom clear as day.

Shout out to Gambler rigs, getting us our quality fish Sunday.

Derby is coming fast!!

See ya on the water!!!

Thats a very nice looking laker.  Looks like a natural born one too.  How big do you think it was? Looks like over 10 lbs but always tough to judge by a picture.

Heck of a good start to the season! Have a little over 46 degrees in 3 feet, couple short hits today with one follow, looked like a small Laker.

Shane, I bet he was pushing 12. Solid beautiful fish. I got another hog yesterday too. Not quite as big. But solid fish. Have some great quality fish going on right now. Can't wait for some warmer days. Thanks guys
