I have a cannon mag 10 that reads zero at water line but is about 6 ft off when down 30 ft. I hit bottom when I try to set it a few feet off bottom. Other rigger same weight seems spot on. When I bring it back up reads zero at water line. Any opinions?

How much cable is on the rigger?  The counters are calibrated with 250' of cable on them.  If you have 400', you counter will be way off.  Also if there is a lot of backlash in the spool, the counter will be off.

Bought the riggers off a buddy. Don’t believe more than 250. I am going to walk them out this week an d bring em back in tight. Then reset them. Back. Lash could be a problem. They sat for a year off his boat.

I would seriously consider changing the rigger cable to brand new 250ft wire because the ball, release, an your new x4d probe at 299.00 for a replacement probe is worth the 25$ in cable to ensure it's brand new...don't ask me how I know!!! 4 days before I lost my first probe!!!
