Caught this Fish today, Live released, but what could have done this Humped back and 1 side gill missing ?

Yeaw that’s odd, although there were some pics over the past few years like yours, but not a gill plate mia, definitely different. Would like to see some of the answers to this one myself!!

We got a similar fish this week as well. Caught it in Cayuga though.

I've caught three this year with the gill plate missing. No humpbacks that is weird.

I caught a laker during the Seneca Lake trout derby a couple of years ago and the biologist at weigh in said it was a form of arthritis. I'll try to find that pic, almost won the seniors, I was only 59
