Dear Landshark,

Did not know that the KW's would bother fishermen, but do know thru a friend of mine that fishes British Columbia, that the sea lions routinely take salmon off the end of your line. Common Occur!! AND YOU MAY NOT HARM THE SEA LION IN ANY WAY!!

Thanks for the cool video!!

Sincerely,

Jet Boat Bill

Here on the west coast the sea lion have the right away. While Striper fishing in the delta, they will grab your catch the same way.Man you have a fight with a 1200 pound seal on the other end. It's almost like they are playing with you, just to see how mad you get

Great video LS! Tell me you weren't waiting for their boat to be bounced up though! Thanks for sharing!

You think loosing your fish to a Kill Whale is painful.... imagine one jumping on you!

A good friend of mine sent me this photo this summer, from the Kenai river fishing for salmon. He said this guy ended his day for him, as he wouldn't leave him alone. We're lucky the biggest predators in our water are what we're aiming for!

Closest I had to a scenerio like these is up in the 1k islands having a 13" perch a foot from the boat, and having a 29" Pike take off with it, although i got him in the boat too finally, so it was a pleasant bite! ;)
