Loads of active Kings out in 400’ of water right now- 8 for 9 so far. Lost a beast. All fish between 14-18#. NBK spoons and NBK spinny with white fly. 45-85 down- pics later

Spun on my waypoints heading back to port- took 3 steelhead and dropped 2 more. Pulling rods soon- great day on the water with my dad! NW troll put the kings in the boat. First year with a boga grip- what a awesome C and R tool. All fish returned unharmed

Keep dreaming if you think kings survive after being released in 90 degrees. Grip or no grip don’t matter, shut the boat off some day and watch them for 15 mins as they float upside down.

Better survival chance than release into the cooler.  I can’t say I have ever come across dead salmon carcasses while trolling either.

I agree. At least they have a chance. Thanks for the report.  You found them way out deep. Did you try in shallower at first?
