Was thinking about going up this weekend (sat). I have a small 16 ft bass tracker deep v with two riggers .

Can I catch anything staying closer to shore? Don't want to go out to far until I get to know the lake better,

also have an mast with otterboats would it be worth the trip to fish close or do i need to venture out a long way?

I see 1 foot or less forcast for oswego

Yeah that's odd... weather channel calling for 10+ knot wind all day starting at 7am but wave forecast says 1ft or less?

I fish in a 16 ft Fury as long as waves 1 ft. And bellow. Just pay attention to the radar on your phone. Use the NOAA weather buoy info. Sodus point to Mexico bay. I rarely go past 250 ft depth. Have fun. Wear an inflatable vest. Be safe.

Water is getting pretty warm to catch trout or salmon inside of 40 FOW. Depends what the wind does to the warm water.
