River report

Some good fortune today, caught 5 species this morning. One musky released gently back to the river.

River fishing picking up for sure. Picked up a drum as well the other day along with a limit of eyes, and yes, they are drag pullers!

20 years ago I used to catch them all the time fishing for Browns. First minute you think you have a great fish and then they surface and pinwheel as you bring them to the boat.

I don't believe gobies are on the drum menu... zebra muscles, crabs, clams etc. We catch them on spoons trolling or crabs bass fishing. The are always a blast to catch... wrist breakers on light tackle.

Nice to see the river picking up. Unfortunately I haven't been out but I think my shoulder is slowly healing. Those drum do tug. I catch more trolling for eyes on the lake than in the river.
