The X4D shows surface speed.

The early x4d units did not have surface speed, my unit does not have surface speed, and it is the x4d. There is not a space for the surface speed on the head unit.

Yes mine is the older model x4d without surface speed. I really don’t care what my surface speed is on the FH. I use my GPS speed for surface speed and FH for speed under the water. I am running my probe all the time, from 10-800’.

So I took it out today and ran the probe. Im getting a probe speed. I set it to my son speed and guesstimate my actual speed
