auto stop on walker rigger with braid

So I was wondering if anyone out there using the walker auto stop has tried to use it on braid instead of stainless cable.  If so how did you put it on?

I have walkers with stainless cables. The auto stops we're the biggest pain in the a$$ . They are crimp and heat shrink . The heat shrink kept getting tore up . Then I took a small plastic cup cut groves in the sides . Filled the cup with plastic dip . Dip the magnets and cable in the dip and it came out great have not had to mess with the Auto Stop in 3 years now. can't see why that won't work on braids.
