Here's what a Naples-made Sutton 44 & 71 spoon looks like after getting hooked on my jig Saturday. Falling-apart brittle. Couldn't tell if the mono they were attached to was ever part of the copper wrapped around the whole mess. At least I got to learn that people love these 44 spoons.

They catch fish but they do tarnish and degrade quickly.

I hadn't ever heard of a Sutton spoon until I tried to find out about these.  Obviously Keuka trying to send me a message.

They are extremely popular up in the Adirondacks, too.  The 44 is likely the best smelt imitation going, maybe along with the mooselook,  landlocks love them!

They work good on Lake "O" too. I caught a 34lb king on a sutton 38 back in 1990 on one.. Still use them today...

I have been running Sutton spoons for over 30 years. Great on Moosehead and Sebago lake in Maine.
