Lake Ontario- The king bite is still on; however, they have been scattered. The latest reports out of Sodus are they are hitting spoons and flasher flies from 200 to 450 feet of water. Riggers are down 80 to 100 feet.

There have been plenty of two-year-old salmon caught, however the matures are also coming to the net. The spreads have been copper out 400 to 500 feet, dipsy’s and riggers. The spoons are Moonshine black and orange and glow, Stingers, and NK Mags.

Charters have been fishing straight out from Hughes’ Marina, Sodus and Port Bays. A front is supposed to hit our area Wednesday, so watch the wind.

Don’t forget the LOC Derby which runs until Monday, September 3rd. Prize structure and information is at loc.org. If you are fishing during that time frame, make sure you register. The awards ceremony will be at Jacks (Sodus Point) starting around 4 pm.
