Mostly lurked- Now I have a big boat!

Names Tom. I fish with my 8 year old boy, Tommy, all the time. He’s been fishing with me since he’s been able to walk. He even has a Facebook fan page called “Fishing with Tommy.” My wife is fine with fishing as long as I take my boy so we go a lot. I’ve kind of created a monster! Grew up outside of Philly, but moved just outside of Rochester 2 years ago. Mostly lurked here for a while, fishing the piers and tribs, all while falling in love with this awesome fishery. This July, I finally broke down and bought myself a bad ass salmon trolling boat! 1994 Crestliner Sabre 205, all welded aluminum cuddly cabby with only 275 hours on the original motor. Boat name is the “Bootstraps” out of Mayer’s Marina in I-Bay. Trying to master this monster of a lake is no easy task and I’m going to need some pointers now and then. If you see us out there stop by and say hello. The boy loves to talk fishing!

Fishing with your kids builds a special bond between you and your children. That the best therapy there is for parent/children!! My daughters are still talking about our trip this summer. So nice to see a young man interested in the outdoors!! Enjoy every moment as they grow up fast. Thanks for sharing and get out as often as possible, like mentioned above!! Good job Dad!!

My son just turned 26, been fishing with me on Erie and Ontario since he was five, but he now has a serious girlfriend and a relationship with Bud light, still fishes with me occasionally, but miss his pain in the ass on the boat and really appreciate the times he does go, BTW nice boat
