For the past 4 years i've allowed every doe and small buck to pass in hopes of a big one and finally it paid off. This big guy came into my tree stand around 6 openign night and finally gave me a shot at about 30 yards.

Great looking Buck!! Congratulations!!! His cape is pretty cool with the white patches! Horns are beautiful as well! Had you ever seen him before?

thanks all! Hank your right as soon as it gets back from the butcher, i'm bringing the cape to the taxidermist.

chuck - i'm thinking this deer was the six i had hanging around last year...but im not exactly sure. During the summer one of the locals that hunts with us, filmed just about everyday and got many big bucks on film and this one was never seen once so it was a pleasant surprise...

nice buck..today was my first chance out (tonight 5pm) did not have a chance to get set up and a nice 8pt comes barreling down the trail very tempting but i know there are some 150 class within 1/2 mile of where i was think im gonna have to wait em out unless we get some wind and rain then ill go after him on foot....

Great buck! I had one of them come barreling past me on a doe and I could stop it in a good shooting lane, so he is still living.
