According to NYup.com, the International Game Fish Association has recognized that a catfish caught on Lake Ontario now holds the world record for the longest catch of that species! The 32.6 inch fish was caught by Capt. Eric Scordo, who is from Watertown, NY, on May 18. He also holds a state record for a channel catfish he caught the previous year.
