I'll be running G5 Montecs this year. First year with fixed blades but trying to get away from mechanicals. Never had a bad experience with em, but don't want to either.

Great broadheads.  You can sharpen them easy too!

I know I posted this before but here’s a rage that bounced off the  shoulder at 11 yards .. deer was fine acted like it never got touched.. I shoot FMJ arrows with muzzy fixed broad heads (dirts from where I marked blood)

My nephew had the same thing happen on a big ol' buck he'd hunted an entire season for. Made him switch to fixed a few years back, and he pointed me to the G5's this year.

My old Magnatech needed an overhaul this year (strings, arrows, tune), and if things go accordingly, I'll be putting in for elk and moosefor 2021 seasons and beyond, so that was the final call for switching to fixed. I know people do, but doesn't seem right to throw a mechanical at something that big. Bows now "overgunned" for whitetail but I should be good and used to it if those dream tags make their way to my pocket.

Good luck to you all!

Just a heads up, there are fake rage broadheads going around. I got stuck with 2 packs and you can barely tell them and the package apart from the real pack i got straight from rage. And yes, i know this thread is old

I usually run muzzys but this year I switched to a little heavier arrow and 125 G5 strikers. They really flew well for me. The most consistent flying fixed blades I have used.

After having to switch from a compound to a crossbow I stayed with SLICK TRICK 100 magnums, they fly just like the same weight field point and have done the TRICK for years of harvesting deer!

Rage hypodermic from my compound bow. This blood trail looked like this from the impact point to the dead deer 37yds away! In 10 yrs i only had a problem 1 time with a rage, and it was with a crossbow hypodermic.
