I do guided trips from a pontoon.  I tore mine down and built it myself.  Im 3000 hours into my second motor and I wouldn't want any other kind of boat for small water.

I have same motor with over 2000 hours and have only has to replace a coil and a gas line.

I'm praying for 1 more year outta mine! Might buy a new one this winter, but definitely next winter. Seems like 4000 hours is pushing my luck but that's where I'll be after next year.

Add a 36v terrova to a pontoon and you can't find a boat that tracks better and easier to troll with. My first generation just had pressure treated wood bolted across each back corner on a diagonal and riggers on those.

I was thinking of table pedestals or chair pedestals to bring the rigors up then anchoring them to the side rails

Still looking for a way to mount 2 down riggers on my pontoon .It’s  coming out of storage net week I’ll post some pictures.

Been running a  Suntracker 20 DLX for four years. Most comfortable trolling rig I have ever used.  Fish Champlain and Lake Ontario with no problems.  Built my own rigger mounts and use Scotty rod holders. Minkota 55lb trolling  motor with Humminbird hd 5 on front n of boat. Second HD 5 on dash. I have a 3/4 boat  enclosure for cold  and rainy weather.

Very nice! My problem I only have 2 spots with open railings. But you’ve given me some ideas. Thanks. Just put a Minkota with spot lock last fall.
