Oswego River report:

The river flow has dropped just a little to 18,900cfs which is still very high. Most areas along the river are unfishable but behind the hotels is a suggested spot to try. Anglers are finding steelhead, browns and a few walleye. Many Lake Ontario tributaries are also producing some nice trout.

Notice: The bridge to Leto Island is closed, and there are mandatory personal flotation device (PFD) zones on the river. For more information, view the Brookfield Varick Fish Safely Brochure via the link below. The Oswego Fire Department offers loaner life jackets at no charge through its “Loaner for Life” program. For more information contact the fire station, 35 E. Cayuga St., at 315-343-2161.
