Anyone familiar with these? Looking for a inexpensive unit for the pontoon boat. Will it track weights ? Always been Lowrance man time to try something different, Thanks

Stay away from the DI and SI. It's not worth the extra money. You just want Sonar/GPS, and yes it will track your weights.

Being able to track your weights is prolly more about how heavy a weight you're running than what sonar you're using. I had a brand new Helix 9 a couple years ago that wouldn't pick up my weights over 50' down. Turns out that was because I was running 10# pancake weights, I switched to 14# torpedoes and can track my weights down to well over 100' with the same Helix 9. The blowback on the 10# weights was causing them to be pushed out of the sonar cone the deeper I dropped them down.

Thanks This is my second boat my pontoon boat I keep on a lake by the house . Max water depth is about 35 ft. So I should be fine. My Islander I use 14 lb topedos

Now I just have to find a way and place to mount a couple of cannon easy troll riggers
