Oswego River report:

The river flow has continued to be fairly constant running very close to 15,000cfs for several days. The temperature will be in the low 30s today but begin to drop with very cold temperatures moving in for the next few days. The winter snow storm is expected to reach our area on Saturday. Conditions are expected to be very difficult through the weekend with some lake effect predicted for Monday. As the weather calms down into next week, look behind the hotels for browns, steelhead, rainbows and walleye.

Notice: The bridge to Leto Island is closed, and there are mandatory personal flotation device (PFD) zones on the river. For more information, view the Brookfield Varick Fish Safely Brochure via the link below. The Oswego Fire Department offers loaner life jackets at no charge through its “Loaner for Life” program. For more information contact the fire station, 35 E. Cayuga St., at 315-343-2161.
