Lower Niagara River ice situation?

Are the launch ramps operating? Ice in the river bad? Will you be blocked out by ice if you are out there?

I drove by the upper river today and there was no ice coming down that I could see. The boom looks to be holding.

Tons of ice in the river this afternoon in Niagara Falls at the Grand Island bridge. Did not get to venture downstream of the falls though.

 I would think between the high winds & broken ice boom it will be a week before it's good. jmo.
