What your craziest non target species catch on lake O? we anticipate lakers,salmon, and trout. What was your most odd catch trolling? big walleye catfish ect!

One day we literally could not keep the small mouth off our sticks brown trolling. They were biting the rigger spoons as soon as they hit the water to go back

We also pulled this guy on a turn with a stick bait. I-Bay has it all in early spring.

30" carp on a stickbait outside the piers in Fair Haven and a 4" walleye in the Oswego River while fishing for kings.

not crazy but unexpected. Late July trolling off FH in 8-12 FOW for bass with my parents and caught this guy. Super fun on Ultra light Spin Tackle

Two that come to mind are the 30 lb carp we caught trolling for browns in April, and the 3 lb smallie we caught in 200 fow down 60.

Not an odd species but an odd catch.... Caught a lake trout in 180fow on what amounted to 3 colors of LC. I had a 10 color out and had reeled in 7 colors already when I stopped reeling for a second to make a course correction and the laker hit and nearly took the rod out of my hand.

Same thing happened to me years ago near Port Ontario on a J plug.

Off the Fort in the Niagara jigging for Lakers , a totes boot , right the  through the toe . My fishing buddy who is now deceased , laughed for  2 days . And never let me forget  about it . 

 

Also a few seagulls and a cormerant got tangled in a flat line but got loose .

a 12# walleye 105' down on a white on white meat rig also a big sheaphead (drum) while pulling sticks off the boards for browns

guy that docks next me caught a burbot while trolling mexico bay last year,he said its the 2nd one he has caught in 30+ years fishing the lake.it was ugly!!!!!!
