Turkey attack

Today I slowly drove by a flock of turkeys all females +1male. The male ran straight toward my truck and started pecking at the tires and jumping up against the side of the truck. It was not until I got out and walked up to him that he retreated. This was a first for me. Is this the exception or is this common place with testosterone laden turkeys ?

Normal activity.... My neighbor had his chrome bumper being attacked on 4 different occasions last spring. While doing a bit of shed hunting on a farm I walked out to find my gator being molested by 2 jakes a few years ago.....

I guess the real question is "will they do that on May 1st?"
