Looking for a little help, I'm working on a 83' Dt 75 Suzuki outboard 2 stroke & I'm in the process of changing out the water pump impeller, but I don't see where to disconnect the shift linkage to drop the lower unit. Whats the Trick? Thanks for any info. Capt. Randy

Theres a round rubber plug on the starboard side of the engine cowl. It's right below the carbs. That's the access hole to get to the pin for the shift rod. Hope that helps ya.

Thanks Hank,

You were exactly right. I've done alot of Merc IOs. This is the first Suzuki I pulled apart. It went well after unbolting the throttle linkage arm..... Thanks again!

Opps. Sorry. Forgot that part. You do have to unhook the cable to free it up. Glad I could help.
