I have the raster scan 24mi radar by JRC and the raytheon L750 fishfinder i have a raytheon chartplotter when hooked to my radar and or ant is it also used as a gps or do i need to go and buy a gps

Not exactly sure what you are asking. I have the RC425 GPS/Chartplotter on my boat and it needs the external GPS antenna to do GPS features. Excellent unit.

I have the 420C and you need the external GPS antenna. 300 bucks, I know i just bought one last year. Great unit. You need a new one, don't buy one used unless you try it with your unit first.
