How often do you guys replace the termination end on you riggers? Is it something that should be done every year? I don’t fish as much as a charter boat but I’m usually good for 15-18 trips a year

I look at them several times a season-probably more for the probe rigger.  If I see anything I change it out.  I use Cannon terminators and clincher style which are both pretty troublefree.  It is better to be safe than sorry.  Normally I redo probe about twice a season.

I've been able to reuse some of the them.  I f you are careful taking them apart sometimes they won't be damaged.  If I don't like the looks then I put in a new one.

Save your money on termination hardware. Use the same wire line knot you use for termination on wire dipsy swivel.

Never heard of doing that to a down Rigger cable . IMO that's crazy . Not my probe but each there own

I use the wire knot on my prob cable.  Scrap the coating off and tie it to a heavy duty swivel ,works great.
