That’s Supposed to be lead core

I have never used a special rod for leadcore, the outside sheath is basically just braided line. Pretty much any Med trolling rod will do the job, I prefer an 8ft rod but that's just me.

I've been thinking of adding lead to my arsenal as well.
What is the suggested lead core line weight rating? Would it just be the same as what you would normally use as a mainline? Approx 30lb For kings.

I use 27# leadcore for salmon/trout and 12# for walleye. You can use mono for backing or braid. I use mono for 3 or less colors and then change to braid for longer LC setups.

I set up two 3 colors Walleye on my home lake a 4 and a 5. What else should I do for Ontario? New to trolling with lead.

I'm kinda new to long lining also, but 10 color seems popular. Matter of fact, I just rigged one up today.
